Welcome, Andy! Our new Golf and Lodges Manager

Andrew Walton is our new Golf and Lodges Manager at Lofoten Links.

Andrew Walton was born and raised in England but has been living in Norway for the last 27 years, mostly in the Mosjøen area in Northern Norway.  He starts his position with us on June 1st, where he will be in charge of running the golf course, clubhouse and accommodation for Lofoten Links on Gimsøya Island in Lofoten. Andrew will be in charge of marketing, sales and networking and will also be responsible for HR, customer service and the budget.

Professionally, Walton has a diverse background. He studied hotel and restaurant management and has worked with various tourist companies both in England and in Norway. In Helgeland he worked as Head of Tourism for Destination Helgeland and was the Hotel Director for Norlandia Lynegengården Hotell (Mosjøen).  In addition, he was the store manager of Europris in Mosjøen for 11 years and spent this last year as the Department Head at TESS, a hose provider for big industries such as oil and gas. Walton gained a significant amount of his managerial experience during his younger days when he worked at the Tussauds Group, an international entertainment company.

Andrew officially start his position on June 1st this year.
