Golf World and National Golfer rank Lofoten Links as Europe’s 12 best course built since 1980. This is a fantastic ranking for the course that was completed as 18 holes in 2015.
The course is the best ranked course in Scandinavia in this award. Bro Hof Slott, Stadium Course, is ranked number 30 in this award and then as the second best Nordic golf course. Kingsbarns, Scotland, is voted best course in this competition which is dominated by courses from Scotland, Ireland, England and Portugal. Lofoten is the only course from Norway that is mentioned in this selection which includes courses such as Trump Aberdeen (Scotland), Old Head of Kinsale (Ireland), Machrihanish Dunes (Ireland), Monterei (Portugal), St Andrews Castle course (Scotland), The Scandinavian New (Denmark), Raevo (Moscow, Russia), Oitavos Dunes (Portugal), Sporting Club (Berlin, Germany to name a few.
